NO. 7 MINE WILL BE READY TO HOIST COAL NEXT WEEK
An agreement was reached on Thursday of last week between members of Local Union No. 18, Progressive Mine Workers of America, and a group of men from Chicago, whereby Mine No. 7 east of Staunton, will again, resume operations after a 3 months period of idleness. Some 100 men will be employed at the mine, all members of Local Union No. 18, most of them from Staunton, with a number from Mt. Olive will operate on a trail basis of about 3 months.....
