My gggrandfather, W R Eddington, Civil War Veteran who served in
Company
A, 97th IL Infantry, used to dress in his uniform and attend Veteran's
Day services as late as 1935. He died in January 1936 at the age of 94.
Maybe there are some around that still remember him.
