"The family of William and Margaret (Kennedy) Rigsbey consisted of eleven children, as follows: Mary, the widow of Frederick Shaw, of Garret (Garrard) county; Eliza, the widow of B. Conn, also of that county; Margaret, who married Benjamin Lunsford, of Garrett (Garrard) county; John William, of Macoupin county, Illinois; Parmelia, the widow of David Ross, of Garrett (Garrard) county, Kentucky; Harriet, who married James J Hawley, of Garrett (Garrard) county; David, also of that county, Lucy the wife of James Anderson, of the state of Texas; James T, of this review; and Robert H and Andrew, both of this county."
William Andrew went by the name "Andy." He
was never listed in a census as living in Chesterfield since he joined
the army.
His father John William Rigsbey was listed starting in 1900. I believe he was there as early as 1891 when he joined the Methodist church there. He was also a member of the Modern Woodmen of America, whatever that is! There are a lot of Rigsbey's buried in a small cemetery called Gelder Cemetery (from the His Soc Cem Bk - NE corner of the S1/2 of the NW1/4 of Section 10 in Chesterfield Twp).
If you have anyone who would like to go through my box of photos in the hopes of identifying and sharing them, please let me know.
