From Donna Sattley,
"My grandfather, Charles Hauser, is far left with the "dunce look" hat
on. My grandfather lived in Litchfield. My cousin and I were trying to
figure out why he would have been with the two labor leaders. He
never worked in the mine but was in the Rotary and Elks Clubs. In his
early days he was a farmer and in later years he was the president of
the Milnot Company so we're trying to figure out the connection. The
only thing I can think of would be maybe if he attended a speaker's
seminar at Chautauqua? In later years he donated money to the fund for
miners with Black Lung Disease. So I'm not sure where the photo would
have been taken but I'm almost 99% sure that's Mother Jones and Terence
Powderly. Is there another picture like this around? I have
never seen Mother Jones this young so am unsure it is her."
